Safely replace worn pneumatic tires from rims. To keep your wheel from wobbling, slide it on the mounting shaft and use the spacer sleeves with locking nut or the shaft support barrel to secure it. Make sure to use the shaft support barrel when changing large diameter wheels, such as those for ATVs, cars, and small trucks. A curved tire iron is included to remove and remount tires from 12” diameter and smaller wheel rims with minimal effort. For tires with a rim diameter over 12”, a snake style tire iron (sold separately) is required.
Bench-mount tire changers create a waist-high changing station for easy accessibility. They can also be mounted to any standard, four-position rim-clamp tire machine. Strike the hand-held bead breaker with a rubber mallet or hammer (not included) to release the grip between the edge of the tire and the groove on the wheel rim to remove the tire. These tire changers are best for wheels with small diameters.
The floor-mount tire changers offer extra stability for tires with large diameters. Push the lever down on the built-in bead breaker to release the grip between the edge of the tire and the groove on the wheel rim to remove the tire. They offer more leverage than a hand-held bead breaker, making it easier to release the tire. The bead breaker is adjustable to accommodate the full range of wheel diameters.
