Ball Bearings
Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than shielded and sealed bearings.
Shielded bearings block out dust and other contaminants, but do not dissipate heat as efficiently as open bearings.

Permanently Lubricated Ball Bearings

A solid polymer lubricant surrounds the balls, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. Because it's solid, the lubricant blocks out water and dust, extending the life of the bearing.

Light Duty Dry-Running Thrust Bearings

Use where high loads and speeds are not required.
Acetal bearings have low moisture absorption and are more chemical resistant than nylon bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Dry-Running Thrust Bearings

A steel backing adds strength to these slippery PTFE bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Temperature Dry-Running Thrust Bearings

Graphite provides a layer of dry lubrication that operates in high-temperature environments.
841 bearing bronze bearings are porous and embedded with graphite. They handle higher temperatures than 932 bearing bronze bearings.

Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Startup friction causes these porous bronze bearings to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. They are also known as Oilite® bearings.

Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

For applications with frequent starts and stops, the oil in these bearings contains particles of slippery PTFE that lubricate the bearing during startup.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Handle heavy loads that frequently start and stop along shafts—these bearings contain extra iron and slippery PTFE lubricant. Startup friction causes a thin layer of PTFE to release onto the surface. Thanks to their high iron content, they also resist failing if their load suddenly and drastically increases, but they won’t run as fast as standard bearings. They’re thrust bearings, which means they support loads parallel to the shaft.

High-Load Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Increased iron content makes these bearings stronger and more resistant to shock loads than standard oil-embedded bearings; however they operate at lower speeds. Startup friction causes these bearings to release a thin layer of oil onto their surface. Color is silver because of the iron.
863 iron-copper bearings are also known as Super Oilite® bearings.
Iron-copper bearings support heavier loads than 863 iron-copper bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.

High-Load Food Industry Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Made of 863 iron-copper and embedded with NSF registered H1 oil, these bearings can tackle high-load applications in food plants, such as bottling and filling lines. Startup friction causes these bearings to release a thin layer of oil onto their surface. The oil is safe for incidental contact with food. Also known as Super Oilite® bearings, these bearings have high iron content, so they’re strong and hold up to shock loads.

Corrosion-Resistant Thrust Bearings

The addition of iron and aluminum gives these bearings high strength and excellent corrosion resistance—making them suitable for use in marine and mining applications.

Chemical-Resistant Flange-Mounted Linear Sleeve Bearings

The Frelon liner on these bearings allows them to stand up to a wider range of chemicals than other flange-mounted linear sleeve bearings. All are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment and are for use with round end-supported shafts. Note: Not for use with bare aluminum or chrome-plated shafts.
Bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance are best for precision applications. Bearings with 0.0015" shaft clearance are less likely to bind on your shaft than bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance.
