    Masking Tape for Abrasive Blasting

    Made of fiberglass, this tape protects surfaces through tough grit-blasting cycles. It can also tolerate temperatures up to 500°F, so this tape holds up through the high-heat steps of your finishing processes, such as thermal spraying.
    Fiberglass Fabric—An economical choice for masking in abrasive blasting, it has good durability while remaining highly conformable. It's best for light to moderate blasting, such as with glass bead or plastic grit.
    Silicone Rubber-Faced Fiberglass Fabric—An outer layer of silicone rubber deflects tough impact, so it can stand up to prolonged, aggressive blasting from coarse aluminum oxide or steel grit.
    Both Sides—Tape with adhesive on both sides can be used as an inner wrap for coils and transformers, or as an underwrap for other masking tape.
    Overall Thickness—Thicker tape is more durable and less conformable than thinner tape. Choose thicker tapes for tougher, longer jobs.
