Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable Pulling

Use these lubricants to ensure smooth, consistent motion when pulling wire or cable through conduit. They provide long-lasting lubrication to support repositioning and maintenance after initial cable installation. Compatible with all cable and insulation types.
Lubricants without PTFE can be washed off with soap and water. Lubricants with PTFE provide maximum lubricity.

Extra-Thick Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

Spray these lubricants onto wire rope and cable used in vertical or fast-moving applications. They dispense as a thick gel, completely covering wire strands without dripping or running off. Use them to cut through dirt, grease, and rust, and to protect wire rope and cable. Lubricants come in an aerosol can with a flip-up straw that’s attached to the nozzle so it won’t get lost. Raise it for precision dispensing; lower it for storage or to dispense lubricants as a spray. They cannot be sold outside the United States due to product labeling requirements.
Moisture-Resistant Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

Protect wire rope and cable from corrosion in wet environments. These lubricants have fast-penetrating solvents that quickly reach the core of wire rope and cable to remove water and protect against corrosion. Made with moly (molybdenum disulfide), they withstand high loads and have excellent wear resistance. They cannot be sold to Canada due to product labeling requirements.
Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

By traveling along individual strands and penetrating to the core of wire rope and cable, these lubricants maximize coverage to prevent rust and reduce wear. They cut through dirt, grease, and rust to protect wire rope and cable.
Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high loads and have excellent wear resistance. They can be applied while wire rope is in motion. Lubricants with PTFE leave no residue. They come in a pen for precision applications.
Food Industry Open Gear and Chain Grease

For use in food-processing and preparation areas, this grease is NSF registered H1 or meets FDA Compliant 21 CFR 178.3570 for incidental contact with food. It's tacky to stick to open gears and roller chain.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Mineral-oil-based grease, derived from petroleum, is more economical than synthetic-oil-based grease. It has aluminum thickener, which provides excellent oxidation resistance and good moisture resistance.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry. Nonmelting grease can be used at temperatures above the maximum temperature briefly, but then will break down more quickly.

Dry-Film Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

Made of graphite in a thin oil, these lubricants penetrate wire rope and cable to the core. When the oil evaporates, it leaves behind a dry film of graphite that prevents wear and corrosion throughout the rope without attracting dust.
