Vehicle Wire
Also known as primary wire, this wire meets SAE standards for low-voltage wiring in trucks, boats, trailers, and other vehicles.
With cross-linked polyethylene insulation, TXL and GXL wire withstands higher temperatures and resists abrasion better than GPT wire. TXL wire has thin walls, so it’s lightweight. It’s often used in dashboards and other interior jobs.

Keep spools of vehicle wire in multiple colors on hand. They meet SAE J1128 for low-voltage wiring in trucks, boats, trailers, and other vehicles.
TXL and GXL wire have cross-linked polyethylene insulation that withstands higher temperatures and has more abrasion resistance than PVC insulation. TXL wire has thin walls, so it’s small and lightweight. It’s often used for dashboards and other car interior applications.
