Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Frames—ICC-ES Listed

Fiberglass-reinforced plastic frames are safe to use in food and dairy plants. Nonmagnetic, they’re also good to install in hospitals and labs that use MRI technology. These frames won’t conduct heat and electricity, unlike metal frames, reducing the risk of injury from electric hazards. All are approved for use in UL fire-rated ceiling assemblies. Toggle Bolt-Style Hangers with Spring

These hangers are a popular choice for overhead applications. The spring holds the washer and toggle against opposite sides of the wall, so everything's in position before you begin tightening. To install, insert the bolt through your fixture and thread the toggle onto it. Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic—Use fiberglass-reinforced plastic molding in food and dairy plants—paint free, it won’t blister or peel onto your product. Because it’s nonmagnetic, it’s also safe to install in hospitals and labs with MRI technology. Unlike metal molding, this molding won’t conduct heat and electricity, so it reduces the risk of injury from electric hazards. It complies with ICC-ES seismic standards when installed with pop rivets. It’s also approved for use in UL fire-rated ceiling assemblies. You can clean this molding with mild detergents and it won’t corrode.

Instead of painting or replacing ceiling tile frames when they’re rusted and discolored, put these flexible PVC covers onto them for a clean appearance. They’re sized to fit most framing systems. If you’re using them with ceiling tiles with recessed edges, make sure the width of the covers will fit the recess.

Wall Cover—To cover your framing’s perimeter, use wall covers. They slide onto framing where the ceiling and wall meet.

Standard Cover—Standard covers have a notch in the middle that covers the seams where two tee covers meet. They’re compatible with both 2' × 2' and 2' × 4' ceiling tiles. When used with 2' × 4' tiles, install them on the 2' side.

Tee Cover—Tee covers run perpendicular to standard covers to create a tee.

For 1" Width—For a proper fit, choose covers for 1" wd. framing if your current 15/16" wd. framing already has a thick coating of paint.

Ceiling Tile Cover Type—To cover your framing’s interior grid, you may need both standard and tee covers.

Flammability Rating—Rated ASTM E84 Class A, their ability to limit the spread of flames and generation of smoke conforms to the highest classification. They also meet UL 94 V-0, which means they’ll self-extinguish within 10 seconds and won’t spread fire by dripping.

Corrosion-Resistant-Coated Steel—Corrosion-resistant-coated hangers are 40 times as corrosion resistant as zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers, withstanding up to 1,000 hours of salt spray. They can drill into structural steel up to _1/4", such as steel beams. They’re not for use with sheet metal thinner than 12 ga.

Zinc-Yellow-Chromate-Plated Steel—Zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers are corrosion resistant in wet environments.

7/16" Wide Head—Some hangers with a _7/16" head width can drill through steel as thick as 12 ga.; others can drill through sheet metal and wood.

3/8" Wide Head—Zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers with a _3/8" head width can drill through steel sheet metal as thick as 16 ga.

Zinc-Plated Steel—Zinc- and zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers are corrosion resistant in wet environments. The zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers meet quality standards outlined in ASTM B633 and dimensional standards outlined in ASME B18.2.1.

316 Stainless Steel—316 stainless steel hangers have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. They’re best for corrosive and marine environments.
