Clevis Pins

Clevis Pin

Clevis Pin with Hairpin Cotter Pin

An alternative to bolts and rivets, these pins lock in place with a cotter pin. Choose a clevis pin and add your own cotter pin, or select a clevis pin that includes a reusable hairpin cotter pin.

Steel pins have good strength. Pins with a zinc-plated finish have some corrosion resistance. Pins with a zinc yellow-chromate plated finish are more corrosion resistant than zinc-plated pins.

18-8 stainless steel pins offer a balance of strength and corrosion resistance. They may be mildly magnetic.

316 stainless steel pins have the best corrosion resistance of our stainless steel pins, and are as strong as 18-8 stainless steel pins. They may be mildly magnetic. Passivated pins offer added protection against corrosion and oxidation.

Pins that meet SAE specifications conform to SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) dimensional standards.

Precision Clevis Pins

These pins combine the locking capabilities of a clevis pin with the precision diameter of a dowel pin for a tight fit. Easier to install and remove than bolts or rivets, they lock in place with a cotter pin (sold separately).

18-8 stainless steel and black-oxide 18-8 stainless steel pins offer a balance of strength and corrosion resistance. They may be mildly magnetic.

316 stainless steel pins have the best corrosion resistance of our stainless steel pins. They are as strong as 18-8 stainless steel pins and may be mildly magnetic.

17-4 PH stainless steel pins are stronger than 316 stainless steel pins, but not as corrosion resistant. They are magnetic.

Adjustable Clevis Pins

Also known as universal clevis pins, these pins have holes on 1/4" centers so you can change the length by moving the cotter pin (sold separately). The excess pin length can be cut off after installation.

Flat-Head Quick-Release Pins

These pins have a low-profile head, so they won't get knocked out of place. Pins have a spring-loaded ball that pops out when the pin is pushed into a hole, and retracts when the pin is pulled out. For the best fit, the hole should be as close to the diameter as possible, but not larger than the diameter at extended ball height.
