Wrenches with a 12-point opening are easier to position on hex fasteners than wrenches with a 6-point opening but make less contact.

Ratcheting Combination Wrenches

A ratchet mechanism in the box end allows you to turn fasteners in tight spaces without removing and repositioning the wrench. Flip these wrenches over to ratchet in the opposite direction. The smaller the turn required to ratchet, the less clearance you need to engage the ratchet. Wrenches are polished for a mirror-like finish.
