Precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on fasteners, shafts, and machinery with these shims.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment.
Brass and copper shims are corrosion resistant and nonmagnetic. Copper shims are good conductors of heat and electricity, so these shims are often used when installing heat sinks.

Open these rings, pass them over the end of a shaft, and release to spring into the groove. Ring ID is measured with the ring uninstalled. Use retaining ring pliers (sold separately) to install and remove rings.
Beryllium copper rings conduct electricity and have excellent corrosion resistance. Do not use beryllium copper rings in direct contact with acetylene.

Use a side-mount retaining ring tool (sold separately) to push them into the groove from the side of the shaft. Ring OD is measured with the ring uninstalled.
Beryllium copper rings conduct electricity and have excellent corrosion resistance. Do not use beryllium copper rings in direct contact with acetylene.

Increased iron content makes these bearings stronger and more resistant to shock loads than standard oil-embedded bearings; however they operate at lower speeds. Startup friction causes them to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. Color is silver because of the iron.
Iron-copper bearings support heavier loads than SAE 863 bronze bearings.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.
