About Durometer Hardness Scales

Select this plastic trim for its chemical resistance. Often used on panels, boards, signs, and mirrors, it protects edges from impact.

Flexible trim can be bent along a gradual curve. Very flexible trim is flexible enough to bend around tight corners.

Trim with a hard or medium-hard rating withstand high levels of impact. The harder the bumper, the more impact it withstands.

Trim with an interior adhesive strip offers additional gripping strength.

Adhesive-back trim allows for easy installation.

Glue-on trim requires contact adhesive to adhere to surfaces.

Push-in stem trim has a barbed stem to fit snugly into grooves or openings that are slightly smaller than the stem thickness.

Slippery Plastic Trim

With a slippery surface, this trim minimizes friction between parts and is often used on conveyor rails, chutes, and guides. Made of plastic, it's also chemical resistant. All of this trim has a hard rating to withstand high levels of impact. It's also nonmarking.

Very flexible trim can be bent around tight corners.

Adhesive-back trim allows for easy installation. Made of UHMW and PEEK, it has good wear resistance.

Slippery High-Temperature Plastic Trim

This trim withstands temperatures up to 500° F, which is generally twice as high as our other slippery trim.
