Electrical Contact Cleaners

Less harsh than general purpose electrical cleaners, these cleaners are suitable for the delicate contacts in electronics and printed circuit boards. Product regulations restrict sales to the listed jurisdictions/areas.
Cleaners that are NSF registered K2 or NSF registered P1 can be used in food-processing environments.
Aerosol cans with a flip-up straw have a straw that’s attached to the nozzle, so it won’t get lost. Raise it for precision dispensing; lower it for storage or to dispense cleaner as a spray.

General Purpose Electrical Cleaners and Sealants

Designed to be used together to improve the performance of electrical connections, cleaners remove oxidation and corrosion on connections while sealants coat them to prevent oxidation and corrosion.
Cleaners provide long-lasting protection for all metal surfaces. Sealants for metal surfaces protect electrical contacts and connections in high humidity, corrosive, and salty environments. Sealants for gold surfaces improve conductivity and provide lasting protection.
Kits come with cleaner, sealant for metal surfaces, sealant for gold surfaces, and grease. Grease provides lubrication while also removing corrosion and oxidation. Kits also include cloths, brushes, and swabs for application.

Electrical Insulating Varnish

Spray these abrasion- and wear-resistant coatings on motor winding wire, transformers, and other metal electrical parts to protect them from oils, chemicals, and moisture. They are solvent based, so they dry quickly. Choose a varnish with a dielectric strength that’s greater than the voltage of the electrical equipment it protects.
Clear varnish leaves a transparent film so components can be inspected. Red and green varnish stand out for identification when used to coat wire.

Fiber-Optic Cable Cleaner/Gel Removers

Clean dirt, grease, oil, tar, and wax from fiber-optic cables before splicing them together. After wiping them on, these removers evaporate quickly and don’t leave residue, so there’s no need to rinse the cables off and their optical clarity won’t change. If you’re in a rush, wipe them dry with a lint-free cloth.
