Shielded Ethernet Cords
The shielding on these cords blocks signal interference from nearby equipment and devices. They send data between computers, printers, servers, and switches. For faster data transmission speeds, choose a cord with a higher ethernet cable category. They’re backward compatible, so they work in networks that meet the same or a lower category.
Cords with braid and foil shielding have better protection than cords with only foil shielding, which is especially important for higher transmission speeds or longer lengths of cord. However, the added shielding increases cord diameter and reduces flexibility.
90° elbow plugs fit flush against equipment, so they fit behind machinery or in areas where space is tight.

Ethernet Cords
These Ethernet cords are backward compatible, so they work in networks that meet the same or a lower category. They send data between computers, printers, servers, and switches.

Continuous-Flex Ethernet Cords

Often used in automated applications such as robotics, these cords withstand continuous motion without degrading data transmission. The shielding blocks signal interference from nearby equipment and devices. They send data between computers, printers, servers, and switches. For faster data transmission speeds, choose a cord with a higher industry designation category. They’re backward compatible, so they work in networks that meet the same or a lower category. All stand up to some abrasion.
Cords with polyurethane rubber insulation resist abrasion better and bend further than cords with PVC plastic insulation. You can use them indoors or outdoors, though you shouldn’t use them in harsh settings. They’re halogen free.

D-Sub Cords
Connect computers, monitors, printers, and other devices with DB connections.
RS-232 cords transmit data between a modem and another device, such as a computer.
Parallel cords connect a computer to a printer.
Shielded cords have foil to prevent signal interference from nearby devices. Use them in settings with low to moderate signal interference, such as labs, storage facilities, and offices.
Double-shielded cords have braid and foil for better protection against signal interference than shielded cords. However, the extra shielding adds diameter and reduces flexibility. They’re used in steel mills, machine tool plants, and other heavy processing facilities.
Cords with reversible mounting hardware have removable thumb screws to enable a wider range of mounting options than other cords. Mount them to ports and adapters, as well as directly into panels.

Coaxial Cords
Transmit audio, video, and data signals over long distances with minimal signal loss.
BNC cords attach with a quarter turn.
SMA and F-Type cords screw on.
RG-174/U cords have a small diameter, so they're easy to coil.
ix Industrial Cords
Securely connect equipment in data or signal applications, such as linking a servomotor and encoder. Because they have smaller connectors than standard cords, you can connect them to smaller equipment and snake them through tighter spaces. You can even use them to create multiple connection points in a compact area. These cords have a metal locking tab that secures the connectors to sockets and is less likely to break than plastic ones if yanked or bumped. All of these cords are shielded to block interference from nearby equipment. They will connect with any ix industrial sockets that meet IEC 61076-3-124. They also meet UL data transmission standards and Canadian electrical standards. You can also use them as an alternative to cords with D-sub connectors.

DMX Cords

Commonly used for movie, stage, and interior building lighting, these cords connect to equipment with five-pin XLR connections. The plug and socket lock onto their mate, so they won’t accidentally unplug. With a layer of foil shielding and a braided pair of wires, these cords block signal interference from nearby devices. To protect the inner wires from damage, they have a polyurethane jacket.
