About Wire and Cable

Send signal and power to low-current devices with M8 connections near welding, metal machining, and in spots where temperatures change. These cords stand up to chemicals, oil, weld slag, and other tough industrial stresses thanks to a layer of TPE. They’re flame rated FT4, so they meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames. Also known as pico cords, M8 cords are often used with 8 mm and smaller proximity switches and photoelectric switches. These cords are good for robotics and other jobs with continuous motion because TPE bends easily.

All are rated IP66K and IP67 when mated for protection against dust, temporary submersion, and high-pressure washdowns. UL and C-UL listed, they meet American and Canadian safety standards.

Harsh Environment Nano M8 Connectors

A TPE cable protects these connectors from oil, weld slag, and other tough industrial stresses as they send signal and power to low-current devices with M8 connections. They’re flame rated FT4, so they meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames. Also known as pico connectors, M8 connectors are often used with 8 mm and smaller proximity switches and photoelectric switches. Because the TPE cable bends easily, these connectors work well in applications requiring continuous flexibility, such as robotics.

When mated, these connectors are rated IP66K and IP67 for protection against dust, temporary submersion, and high-pressure washdowns. UL and C-UL listed, they meet American and Canadian safety standards.

Connect devices such as sensors, programmable logic controllers, and actuators to an automated network. Choose the communication standard that matches your existing network.

Flexible cable bends easily, but is not meant to be in constant motion. Choose cable with PVC plastic outer insulation for general purpose indoor applications. Its protective layer resists abrasion, though it contains halogen. It’s also less flexible than cable with TPE rubber insulation. Shielded cable has a layer of foil that blocks signal interference from nearby equipment and devices. Double shielded cable has a layer of braid and foil shielding for better protection against signal interference than foil alone. Use it in environments with high signal distortion, such as near transformers, generators, and heavy duty motors.

Uninsulated ground wires are not counted in the number of wires.

Flame rated cable meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test. FT4 cable is mounted to a vertical tray during testing.

This cable meets TC-ER crush and impact requirements for exposed runs in cable carriers, so it can be used without conduit. Often used in automated applications such as robotics, it withstands continuous motion without degrading data or signal transmission. It’s flame rated FT4 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with material mounted to a vertical tray.

Use unshielded cable in applications where signal interference is not a concern.

This cable meets TC-ER crush and impact requirements for exposed runs in cable carriers, so it can be used without conduit. It withstands period flexing and bending, sends signal and data to operate, measure, or regulate automated equipment. The PVC insulation resists oil. It’s flame rated FT4 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with material mounted to a vertical tray.

Use unshielded cable in applications where signal interference is not a concern.

Double shielded cable has a layer of braid and foil shielding that provides excellent protection against signal interference from nearby equipment and devices.

Motor Cable

This cable is used in variable-frequency drive motors. The industry designation is WTTC, so it can be installed in cable trays or raceway in a wind turbine generator.
