Flow-Adjustment Valves with Grooved-End Fittings
- Valve Type: Butterfly
- For Use With: Water
- Specifications Met: MSS-SP-67
Commonly used in water service pipelines and HVAC systems, these valves have grooved ends that connect to pipe with a clamp (not included) for easy installation. Since there’s no heat or threading required, they provide quick access to your pipeline for routine maintenance. All gradually open and close to adjust and regulate flow. Valves have 10 flow-adjustment positions. Fix the lockable lever handle in place using a padlock (not included) with a shackle diameter up to 5/16”.
Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.

Plastic Noncontact Flow-Adjustment Valves
With no metal parts, these valves are often used for noncontact flow adjustment in wet conditions and harsh environments. All press down on the outside of tubing to adjust flow without contacting the process media. They can be used with any media that’s chemically compatible with your tubing.
Valves with a closed body securely hold tubing in place.
Valves with an open body provide easy access to tubing for maintenance or replacement.
Dial handles are marked with a 1 to 10 mm scale that allows you to make repeatable adjustments.
Tabs have flow-adjustment notches that allow you to lock in adjustments.

Tap Valves
- Valve Type: Saddle
- For Use With: Air, Water
- For Tube Material: Copper
Also known as saddle valves, these self-piercing valves tap existing copper tubing lines so you can install a secondary water supply line to humidifiers, ice makers, and other equipment. Clamp the valve into position and turn the handle to pierce a 1/4" hole in the tubing. Do not use with pipe. The outlet connection is a 1/4" compression tube fitting.

For applications sensitive to contamination, these valves stop flow without contacting the process media by pressing down on the outside of tubing. They operate on electricity to automatically start and stop flow.
These valves are normally closed unless actuated. They don’t require a minimum pressure drop between the inlet and outlet for operation. The actuator is directly mounted to the valve body to minimize movement and reduce wear.

Insertion Flowmeters
No need to disassemble your PVC pipeline—insert these flowmeters into a drilled hole and secure them using the included clamps. As liquid flows through the meter, it pushes an indicator up the scale, showing you the flow rate. They have a clear body, so you can check the color and clarity of flowing liquid to identify and diagnose problems. Mount these flowmeters vertically.
These flowmeters are calibrated with water but can be used with other liquids. If you’re using these with a liquid other than water, you’ll need to calculate the flow rate by multiplying the number shown on the scale by the specific-gravity conversion factor for your liquid.

Noncontact Flow Transmitters
Using ultrasonic waves, these transmitters measure the flow rate of your liquid from outside your pipe. They're a good choice for applications where you need to retrofit your system or avoid liquid coming into contact with the transmitter. Also known as transducers, these transmitters convert measurements to an electrical pulse that can be interpreted by receiving devices, such as remote displays and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The pulse outputs match the input voltage of the transmitter. The higher the flow, the more pulses they send. For your receiving device to interpret the signal, you will need to calibrate it for the measurement range and output signal of the transmitter. They only give accurate readings within the rated measurement range. Configure them for either a 4-20mA or digital pulse output when installing.
A digital display makes it easy to check flow rate and configure settings. Clamp these transmitters onto your pipe with the included mounting hardware and gel pads. They measure flow no matter the mounting orientation.
These transmitters are calibrated with water but can be used with other liquids and will generally measure accurately, even if they differ in viscosity and density. You can recalibrate them in the field for accurate readings on pipe and operating conditions.
