Hazardous Location Solenoid On/Off Valves

- For Use With: See table
- Seal Material:
Bronze Body: Buna-N Rubber
303 Stainless Steel Body: PCTFE Plastic - Specifications Met:
Bronze Body: UL Listed
303 Stainless Steel Body: UL Listed, CSA Certified
These valves are rated for use in hazardous locations with flammable gas and combustible dust. They operate on electricity to automatically start and stop flow. Valves are normally closed unless actuated. The actuator is directly mounted to the valve body to minimize movement and reduce wear.
Pressure drop assisted valves require a minimum pressure drop between the inlet and the outlet for operation; the upstream pressure must be greater than the downstream pressure.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate whether manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in a hazardous environment. Before selecting a product for a hazardous location, ensure it is rated for your environment.
Flow coefficient (Cv) is the amount of water (in gallons per minute) at 60° F that will flow through a fully open valve with a difference of 1 psi between the inlet and the outlet.

Solenoid On/Off Valves for Natural Gas, Propane, and Butane

- For Use With: Natural Gas, Propane, Butane
- Seal Material: Buna-N Rubber
- Specifications Met: See Table
Install these valves in gas pipelines to control the flow of natural gas, propane, and butane to equipment. They operate on electricity to automatically start and stop flow.
Valves are normally closed unless actuated. They don’t require a minimum pressure drop between the inlet and outlet for operation. The actuator is directly mounted to the valve body to minimize movement and reduce wear.
NEMA 2 valves resist light splashing and dust. NEMA 4X valves resist washdowns, splashing water, corrosive liquid, and dust.
For IP50 valves, the rating applies only to the enclosure, which resists dust.
