Ultra-Wear-Resistant 4150 Alloy Steel
- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell B90 (Medium)
- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Max. Hardness After Heat Treatment: Rockwell C63
- Fabrication: Cold Worked
- Specifications Met: ASTM A108
Higher levels of carbon and chromium make this 4150 alloy steel more wear-resistant than 4820 alloy steel. Also known as chrome-moly steel, it’s often used for gears, shafts, and ball screws. For added wear resistance, it can be surface hardened with heat treating. These rods have been manufactured to meet ASTM A108 standards for quality and performance.
Certificates with a traceable lot number are available for these products. Download certificates from ORDER HISTORY after your order ships.
