High-Pressure Grease

This grease remains stable and in place under high pressure, heavy loads, and shock loads. It's often used for demanding mining, construction, and automotive applications.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Weld load measures a grease's ability to withstand pressure in kilograms of force (kgf). The higher the rating, the more pressure the grease can withstand.
Mineral-oil-based grease, derived from petroleum, is usually more economical than synthetic-oil-based grease. Synthetic-oil-based grease lasts longer than mineral-oil-based grease and generally withstands a wider range of temperatures.
Grease with lithium thickener offers good heat and moisture resistance.
Grease with moly (molybdenum disulfide) and grease with graphite have excellent resistance to wear and can withstand high-load and high-pressure applications.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.

Grease

Use this general purpose grease to lubricate most machinery.

Grease with lithium thickener offers good heat and moisture resistance. Grease with sodium thickener has excellent heat resistance.
Grease with moly (molybdenum disulfide) has excellent resistance to wear and can withstand high-load and high-pressure applications.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.
Moisture-Resistant Grease

Formulated to adhere to metal parts and stay in place in wet environments, this grease is commonly used in pulp and paper manufacturing and water management facilities.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Mineral-oil-based grease, derived from petroleum, is usually more economical than synthetic-oil-based grease.

Grease with PTFE has small particles of PTFE that reduce friction and help the grease maintain its lubricity. Grease with moly (molybdenum disulfide) has excellent resistance to wear and can withstand high-load and high-pressure applications.

Electrical-Insulating Grease

Also known as dielectric grease, use insulating grease to lubricate and protect electrical systems. It resists water and corrosion. This grease can be used on most rubber and plastic.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 3 is about the consistency of vegetable shortening.
Dielectric strength measures the maximum voltage a grease can withstand without losing its insulating properties. The higher the dielectric strength, the better its quality as an insulator.
Grease lubricates most efficiently below the maximum temperature.
Molykote 5 Compound is for use on insulators, bushings, and high-current switches.
Chain Oil

Thin enough to penetrate inside chain pins and links, yet tacky so it stays in place, use this oil to lubricate chain and roller chain.
Viscosity is the thickness of an oil. The higher the grade, the thicker the oil, and the less it flows.

High-Pressure Oil Additives

Increase the pressure mineral oil can withstand in low-speed, high-pressure applications, such as gears, plain bearings, and ways. These additives are also useful in machining operations.
Metal-Free Antiseize Lubricants





Free of metal particles, these lubricants won’t react with stainless steel. Also known as thread lubricants, antiseize lubricants prevent threaded fasteners and close-fitting parts from locking together due to corrosion, contamination, or heat.
Lubricants with graphite have good chemical and corrosion resistance, along with excellent temperature resistance. Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high-pressure applications and have excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with calcium fluoride can be used with plastic, rubber, and other nonmetallic material.
Loctite® LB 8013 High Purity Anti-Seize is made of highly pure ingredients in a controlled environment for superior corrosion resistance.
Lubricants that meet MIL-PRF-83483 are half moly and half petroleum jelly.

Antiseize Lubricants





Also known as thread lubricants, antiseize lubricants prevent threaded fasteners and close-fitting parts from locking together due to corrosion, contamination, or heat.
Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high-pressure applications and have excellent wear resistance. Lubricants with lead are nonabrasive for use with soft metal and have good heat resistance. DuPont Molykote G-n Metal Assembly Paste offers excellent protection against wear and corrosion.
Lubricants that meet MIL-A-907 and MIL-PRF-907 have been tested to prevent corrosion of copper and for antiseize properties when used with steel nuts and studs.

These lubricants dry to form a thin, solvent-resistant film that won't squeeze out or attract dirt. They're made with moly to withstand heavy loads and pressure. They can handle low-speed loads at temperatures up to 745° F and static loads up to 2400° F.
