Cut-to-Size Grommets
Cut the thin layer of rubber in the center of these grommets to create custom IDs to securely hold and protect wire, cable, and cords. Push these grommets into place. They turn rough-edged and uneven holes into smooth, insulated holes. Commonly used in metal panels, they also damp vibration. All have a medium hardness rating to offer a balance of cushioning and impact resistance. They're also known as webbed grommets. Use a utility knife to make your cuts.
For indoor use, choose between SBR and Buna-N grommets. SBR grommets have good abrasion resistance.

Locking Grommets
These grommets snap into place and have wings that expand against the sides of the hole to lock them in position. Use them to protect wire, cable, and cords by turning rough-edged and uneven holes into smooth holes. Made of plastic, these grommets are chemical resistant, and all have an extra-hard rating to withstand high levels of impact.
Grommets that can be used outdoors won't dry out and become brittle when exposed to UV rays.
