Machine Screw-Style Hangers
Also known as spade bolts, you can use these versatile hangers in a threaded hole (as you would a screw), or secure them with a nut (as you would a bolt). Zinc plating provides corrosion resistance in wet environments. Material meets ASTM A307 or F2282 specifications for quality.

Eye Nut-Style Hangers
These hangers have internal threads for use with threaded rods, bolts, and anchors. They’re zinc plated for corrosion resistance in wet environments.

Wedge Anchor-Style Hangers
Drill a hole into concrete or other hard surfaces, and hammer in these hangers. Once the hanger is inserted, pulling on the head with the claw of a hammer will cause the base to expand, wedging the hanger in place. They’re zinc plated for corrosion resistance in wet environments.

Wood Screw-Style Hangers
Drive these hangers into wood with an adjustable wrench, pliers, or a special driver bit (sold separately). They’re also known as eye lags.
Zinc- and zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers are corrosion resistant in wet environments. The zinc yellow-chromate plated steel hangers meet quality standards outlined in ASTM B633 and dimensional standards outlined in ASME B18.2.1.
316 stainless steel hangers have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. They’re best for corrosive and marine environments.

Drilling Screw-Style Hangers
Drill holes with the point on these hangers. Install with a special driver bit (sold separately).
Zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers are corrosion resistant in wet environments. Zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers with a 3/8" head width can drill through steel sheet metal as thick as 16 ga. Some hangers with a 7/16" head width can drill through steel as thick as 12 ga.; others can drill through sheet metal and wood.
Corrosion-resistant-coated hangers are 40 times as corrosion resistant as zinc-yellow-chromate-plated hangers, withstanding up to 1,000 hours of salt spray. They can drill into structural steel up to 1/4", such as steel beams. They’re not for use with sheet metal thinner than 12 ga.

Toggle Bolt-Style Hangers
These hangers are a popular choice for overhead applications. To install, insert the bolt through your fixture and thread the toggle onto it. Next, fold the toggle wings flush against the bolt and push them through a drilled hole until they pop open on the other side. Pull back on the bolt and tighten. They’re zinc plated for corrosion resistance in wet environments. Dimensions meet ASME B18.6.3 specifications.

To install, insert the bolt through your fixture and thread the toggle onto it. Next, fold the toggle wings flush against the bolt and push them through a drilled hole until they pop open on the other side. Once tightened, the spring adds vibration resistance.
