No slamming doors or lids with these hinges. Resistance keeps them open and a soft-close damper at slowly pulls them closed.
Torque—When selecting a hinge to use with a lid, first find the torque force needed to move the lid. Multiply the weight of the lid (in pounds) by the distance between the hinge and the center of the lid (in inches). For example: if the lid weighs 3 lbs. and the distance between the hinge and the center of the lid is 12", the torque force is 3 lbs. × 12"= 36 in.-lbs. Divide the torque force by the number of hinges. For example, if using two hinges 36 in.-lbs. ÷ 2 = 18 in.-lbs. each.

Whether opening or closing, these hinges roll with the load and frequent movement of overhead garage and dock doors. They connect the door panels and pivot as the door moves along the curved tracks. Hinges are industry standard sizes to fit most sectional doors.
Galvanized Steel—These hinges have a galvanized finish to resist rust in wet environments.
