About Measuring Hose and Tube Clamps
What's the best way to determine the clamp size you'll need? Simply measure the outside diameter of your hose with the fitting installed. Some clamps accommodate a range of sizes, so be sure the size you need falls in the middle of that range.

Pinch Clamp Pliers

Crimp pinch clamps closed on hose and tube. Also known as pinch clamp pincers.
Straight jaw pliers must be used perpendicular to the hose.
Straight and side jaw pliers are good for tight spaces because you can use them parallel or perpendicular to the hose.
Pliers with a center handle have an added handle that reduces the fully open grip span. They also have a higher closing force than the other pliers, so they require less strength to crimp pinch clamps closed. You can use them with double pinch clamps.

The tips adjust to accommodate the clamps often found on heater and radiator hoses.

Hose-Crimping Pliers

As you squeeze the handles, the vise-like jaws lock tightly onto the ferrule to secure barbed fittings onto your hose. To select the correct pliers, measure the hose OD and select the next larger size "For Hose OD" below.

Lever-Operated Crimpers with Dies
Crimpers are furnished with five removable dies that crimp air and water hose. Place your hose, ferrule, and barbed fitting into a die that's inserted in the crimper. Press the lever to crimp the fitting onto the hose. Fasteners not included. Hose OD compatibility is measured without the fittings installed.
Individual dies (sold separately) allow you to crimp sizes of air and water hose from 0.385" to 0.843" OD.
Lever-Operated Crimpers

Place your hose, ferrule, and barbed fitting into a die that's inserted in the crimper. Press the lever to crimp the fitting onto the hose. Use with aluminum or brass ferrules. Fasteners not included.
Individual dies (sold separately) allow you to crimp large sizes of air and water hose from 3/4" to 1 3/8" OD (measured without the fittings installed).

Hose Crimping Tool and Fitting Sets for Compressed Gas

Sets contain a crimping tool and a variety of fittings, nuts, and ferrules so you can connect pressure regulators, torches, and other components of your welding system. Fittings are also known as CGA (Compressed Gas Association) fittings. They are brass for good corrosion resistance.
Barbed adapters let you adapt to a threaded end so you can connect welding hose to pressure regulators or torches. They consist of a barbed shaft with a rounded end that sits inside a threaded nut so you can make a threaded hose connection.
Barbed connectors are also known as hose menders and splicers. Use them to connect lengths of hose or to repair damaged hose. Slide the barbed end into welding hose and use a hose ferrule and the crimping tool to secure the fitting to hose.
Threaded connectors let you attach threaded welding hose to pressure regulators and torches.
Fittings with left-hand threads are identified with a notch in the nut.
Note: Fittings have a CGA number that corresponds to a specific type of gas. Choose a fitting with the same CGA number as your tank and other system components.

Hose and Tube Pinch-Off Pliers

Clamp down on nonreinforced hose and tube to squeeze it shut, eliminating the need to drain the hose when working on pumps, heating and cooling systems, and fuel lines. Squeeze the handles to lock the jaws and these pliers stay in place. They have plastic grips for comfort.
Pliers with lever release open when you press the lever.
Pliers with quick release are easier to open with one hand than lever release—push the handles open with your fingers.
Hose and Tube Gripping Pliers

Curved, serrated jaws firmly grip hose and tubing for installation and removal without damage. These pliers have an ultra grip made of hard and soft materials for comfort and slip resistance.
