Build-Your-Own High-Pressure Braided Chemical Hose
- Temperature Range: -40° to 350° F
- Hose: PTFE with 304 Stainless Steel Braid
- Female Fittings Swivel Until Tightened
Use shears or a cutoff saw and wrap the hose ends with tape to cut the hose to your desired length and then attach the fittings. You don’t need any special equipment to install. After you attach the fittings, be sure to test the hose for required pressure prior to using.
To attach fittings to hose, push the socket over the stainless steel braid, then wedge the sleeve under the braid. Next, insert the nipple into the hose and hand-tighten the socket onto the nipple. Finish by wrench-tightening the hex nipple until it is flush against the socket.
Female fittings are also known as JIC (Joint Industrial Council) fittings. They swivel until tightened for easy installation. Brass fittings with zinc-plated steel nut have fair corrosion resistance; 303 stainless steel fittings have very good corrosion resistance.

Hydraulic Hose with Quick-Disconnect Socket and Female Threaded Fitting

A quick-disconnect socket on one end saves you time accessing your line. Use this hose to transfer fluid between pumps, cylinders, and other parts of your hydraulic system. It is reinforced with two steel wire braids for excellent strength and to meet ISO 11237-1. The female fitting swivels until tightened for easy installation. It meets dimensional specifications SAE J516 and ISO 12151-5.
Quick-disconnect plugs and sockets are sleeve-lock style. They are compatible with all couplings that meet ISO 7241-1 series B. To connect, slide back the sleeve on the socket, insert the plug, and release the sleeve. To disconnect, slide back the sleeve and pull out the plug. They have a shut-off valve that stops the flow when the coupling is disconnected.
