Ultra-Corrosion-Resistant Alloy 22 Nickel Rods

- Yield Strength: 45,000 psi
- Hardness: Rockwell B85 (Medium)
- Temper Rating: Softened (Annealed)
- Specifications Met: ASTM B574
This Alloy 22 nickel resists highly corrosive environments better than other nickel alloys such as 625 and C-276. It contains high amounts of chromium and molybdenum, which prevents it from oxidizing when exposed to hydrochloric, sulfuric, and nitric acid at high temperatures. This alloy won’t form stress cracks from sulfides in sour gas environments, and resists corrosion from alkalies such as sodium hydroxide and ammonium. It’s also better than stainless steel at preventing pitting from chemicals such as chloride. With crevice corrosion protection, it won’t corrode at gaps between surfaces. Alloy 22 nickel is easy to weld, and remains strong and corrosion resistant after welding and reshaping. This material is equivalent to Hastelloy C-22.

Extreme-Temperature Belleville Disc Springs

These springs withstand temperatures from -400° to 1100° F. All are 718 nickel, a high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloy that's also known as Inconel. Use them on shafts, bolts, and the ends of valves to maintain tension and separate components. Unlike Belleville washers, they return to their original height once the load is removed.
Deflection is the distance a spring compresses under load. Flat load is the load at which the spring is completely compressed.
Springs may be stacked to increase working load and deflection. In a nested stack, working load is multiplied by the number of springs used, while deflection remains unchanged. In an inverted stack, deflection is multiplied by the number of springs used, while the working load remains unchanged. In a nested and inverted stack, both load and deflection are increased.
