Twist-Claw Hose Couplings for Air and Water

Also known as Chicago and universal couplings, these have an identical claw-style head that allows you to connect to another Chicago twist-claw hose coupling, regardless of the pipe size or barbed hose ID. To connect, push two couplings together with a quarter twist. Couplings have a safety clip and lanyard to prevent accidental disconnection.

Spring-Lock Twist-Claw Hose Couplings for Air and Water

Prevent accidental disconnection with these couplings—they have a spring-loaded locking sleeve that automatically locks into place when you connect the coupling. Also known as Chicago and universal couplings, they have an identical claw-style head that allows you to connect to any other spring-lock twist-claw hose coupling. To connect, push two couplings together with a quarter twist. To disconnect, slide the locking sleeves back and twist the couplings apart. Couplings are iron, which is strong and durable. Interlocking-Clamp Hose Fittings for Steam

Also known as ground-joint couplings and boss couplings, these fittings are designed for high-pressure steam heating, humidification, and washdown applications. Insert the barbed end of the fitting into rubber hose, then position the interlocking clamp over the hose and bolt into place with a torque wrench. The clamp firmly grips the hose as it locks into the ring of the barbed end, creating a leak tight seal. The interlocking clamps are not reusable. Fittings are strong and durable with fair corrosion resistance.
Fittings with a female threaded end have a hex bushing (also known as a female spud) that connects to a male interlocking-clamp hose fitting. Replace the hex bushing with a hex nipple (sold separately) to connect two female fittings; the hex nipples are also known as double spuds.

Cam-and-Groove Hose Couplings for Abrasive Material

Made of ductile iron, these couplings are tough enough to handle sand, cement, and other abrasive solids and slurries. They resist impact and wear better than aluminum and brass couplings. Use their cam-and-groove fittings to quickly connect and disconnect medium- to large-diameter hose lines. To connect, insert the plug into the socket and press the levers down. The levers fit snugly into the groove on the plug’s body and force the plug against the gasket, forming a tight seal. To disconnect, lift both levers and pull out the plug. A complete coupling consists of a plug and a socket (both sold separately).
Plugs with male threaded end are also known as F adapters.
Plugs with female threaded end are also known as A adapters.
Plugs with barbed end are also known as E adapters. Insert the barbed end into plastic or rubber hose and secure with a clamp.
Sockets with male threaded end are also known as B couplers.
Sockets with female threaded end are also known as D couplers.
Sockets with barbed end are also known as C couplers. Insert the barbed end into plastic or rubber hose and secure with a clamp.
Note: To ensure a correct fit, make sure that the plug and socket have the same coupling size.
Warning: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting the couplings. Do not use cam-and-groove couplings with compressed air or gas.
