Clip-On Hex Nuts
A hex-shaped barrel allows these nuts to be gripped with a wrench to hold them in place when tightening a screw. All have multiple threads for secure thread engagement. They're also known as J-style clip-on nuts.
Black-phosphate steel nuts are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.
Zinc-plated steel nuts are corrosion resistant in wet environments.
