Protect your arms and torso when welding.

Cotton is treated to protect against low radiant heat and minor sparks. Jackets with a 12 oz. material weight provide better durability and protection. They have one inside pocket.

Cotton/nylon blend (women's) is soft, lightweight, and protects against low radiant heat and sparks. These jackets have a more contoured and less rigid fit than men’s jackets. For extra protection, they have a hook and loop neck closure. Two waist pockets give you spots to store items.

Cotton and leather protects against low radiant heat with added cut protection and heat resistance on the sleeves. These jackets have a pocket on each sleeve, as well as an inside pocket.

Leather protects against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks. It’s flexible and resists cuts and abrasion better than cotton. Brown leather jackets are designed with small vents under the arms and along the upper back to increase air circulation and cool you off. They have a pocket on each sleeve, as well as an inside pocket. Gray leather jackets have a higher material weight than brown leather jackets to provide better durability and protection.

Acrylic/Buna-N blend protects against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks while providing superior breathability to leather. These jackets have two chest pockets.

Heat-Reflective Aluminized Jackets

Often used in steel mills and glass plants, aluminized clothing reflects radiant heat and protects against sparks. These jackets have no pockets so they won’t trap hot particles. They have snaps down the front and on the cuffs. A flap down the front has pull tabs to allow for quick removal.

Rayon provides good radiant-heat protection as well as moderate spark protection and protection against molten metal splashes.

Kevlar aramid/fiberglass blend combines good heat resistance with excellent abrasion and cut resistance, in addition to offering protection against molten metal splashes.

PBI/Kevlar aramid blend is lighter than other Kevlar blends. It provides excellent heat and abrasion resistance without weighing you down.

Carbon/Kevlar aramid blend is a heavyweight fabric that lasts longer than other Kevlar blends. It holds up in higher temperatures than other materials while providing excellent abrasion and cut resistance. It provides protection against molten metal splashes.

Cooling Vests

Chill these vests to keep you cool and comfortable in hot conditions.

Style A are lightweight nylon. Soak in cold water for 5 minutes, and it keeps you cool through evaporation for up to 4 hours. The exterior is water resistant to keep you dry. They have a zipper down the front.

Style B have cooling packs that maintain a consistent cool temperature of 55° F for up to 3 1/2 hours. Soak the packs in ice water for 10-15 minutes, or store in the freezer for at least 20 minutes before wearing. These vests are durable cotton for better abrasion resistance than Style A. They have hook and loop fasteners at the shoulders and around the waist to modify the fit and tear away easily if caught on machinery.
