About Threaded Studs and Rods

These studs are also known as hanger bolts—use them to hang, mount, and fasten parts to wood structures. Install with a stud driver or create wrench flats by threading two nuts onto the stud and jamming them together.

Black-oxide steel studs are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.

Zinc-plated steel studs resist corrosion in wet environments.
