    Seal and O-Ring Grease

    Apply directly to seals and O-rings to extend service life by preventing drying and cracking.
    Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range.
    Jet-Lube Ezy-Open Liquid—Jet-Lube Ezy-Open is a grease-like liquid that contains detergent and PTFE additives to clean more effectively than grease while it lubricates. Since it is a liquid, it does not have a NLGI viscosity grade, but is less viscous than anything else in our offering.
    Barium Thickener—Grease with barium thickener is for use with silicone rubber O-rings and seals in open systems.
    Lithium Thickener—Grease with lithium thickener offers good heat and moisture resistance.
    Silica Thickener—Grease with silica thickener resists washing off and reduces corrosion in wet environments.
    1 NLGI Grade—NLGI 1 is about the consistency of tomato paste.
    2 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
    Mineral Oil Base—Mineral-oil-based grease, derived from petroleum, is more economical than synthetic-oil-based grease.
    Synthetic Oil Base—Synthetic-oil-based grease lasts longer than mineral-oil-based grease and withstands a wider range of temperatures.
    PTFE Additive—Grease with PTFE has small particles of PTFE that reduce friction and help the grease maintain its lubricity.
    Zinc Alloy Additive—Grease with zinc alloy neutralizes acid and is a good replacement for leaded grease.
    Melting Temperature—Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.

    Can

    Coat tight-fitting metal parts, such as gears, clutches, and press-fit assemblies, with these lubricants before sliding them together to make assembly easier. Once assembled, they provide initial lubrication in equipment before oil has a chance to flow.
    For hoses and other tight-fitting parts, apply these lubricants to rubber or plastic before assembling and disassembling. After drying, they lose their lubricity, so parts stay together. They leave no residue on assembled parts.
    Mineral Oil Base—Mineral-oil-based lubricants, derived from petroleum, are more economical than synthetic-oil-based lubricants.
    Synthetic Oil Base—Synthetic-oil-based lubricants last longer than mineral-oil-based lubricants.
    DuPont Molykote G-Rapid Plus Paste—Molykote G-Rapid Plus Paste is often used to assemble threaded spindles, gears, screws, and pumps. It can be used as an initial lubricant and has a high load-carrying capacity.
    DuPont Molykote G-Rapid Plus Spray—Molykote G-Rapid Plus Spray has a high load-carrying capacity.
    DuPont Molykote M-77 Paste—Molykote M-77 Paste is commonly used on brakes and clutches; it is compatible with material that is damaged by mineral oil, such as natural rubber, SBR, and EPDM. As a paste it lubricates to 445° F; after drying, it continues to lubricate at temperatures up to 660° F. It has a high load-carrying capacity.
    Graphite Additive—Lubricants with graphite have additional pressure resistance and excellent temperature resistance.
    Molybdenum Disulfide Additive—Lubricants with moly (molybdenum disulfide) withstand high-pressure applications and have excellent wear resistance.

    Fluorocarbon and fluoropolymer thickeners add chemical resistance to this grease. It remains intact when exposed to water and most solvents and chemicals. Apply directly to plastic and rubber seals and O-rings to prevent drying and cracking.
    Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range.
    2.5 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2.5 is between the consistencies of peanut butter and vegetable shortening.
    3 NLGI Grade—NLGI 3 is about the consistency of vegetable shortening.
    Molybdenum Disulfide Additive—Grease with molybdenum disulfide has excellent resistance to wear and can withstand high-load and high-pressure applications.
    PTFE Additive—Grease with PTFE has small particles of PTFE that reduce friction and help the grease maintain its lubricity. It’s not for use with ketones, such as acetone and MEK.
    Melting Temperature—Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.

    Highly pure, this grease is chemically inert, so it won’t contaminate sensitive environments or react with other substances. Due to its low vapor pressure, it resists evaporation, even at high temperatures. Apply directly to seals and O-rings to prevent drying and cracking.
    Grease lubricates most efficiently below the maximum temperature.
    2 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
    Nonmelting—Nonmelting grease can be used at temperatures above the maximum temperature briefly, but then will break down more quickly.
