Nonmarring Neodymium Magnets

In addition to protecting magnets and mounting surfaces, a rubber coating helps these magnets grip smooth materials. Made of neodymium, these rare earth magnets are the strongest for their size.
Warning: Maximum pull ratings are based on direct contact with rust-free and unpainted iron plate. Variations in material condition will significantly reduce these ratings. Do not use for lifting over people.
Magnetic Stirring Bars

Coated with PTFE, these stirring bars are corrosion and chemical resistant. Some are available in different colors for easy identification.
Octagonal stirring bars are the most commonly used shape. They have a large surface area to generate more turbulence than round bars, so they stir up particles for better mixing.

Particles for Magnetic-Particle Flaw Detection

Reveal imperfections both at and slightly below the surface of your metal part, unlike other flaw detection methods. Use these particles with a magnetic yoke to check for faulty seams, welding defects, and fatigue cracks to make sure metal parts will be safe under high stress. The yoke creates a magnetic field that draws the particles towards flaws, making them easy to spot. To prevent issues with other inspections down the line, make sure to fully demagnetize your part to remove all the particles.
Powder particles withstand higher temperatures than spray particles and are quick to use. They don’t need to dry, which means you can start testing immediately. Shake them out from a bottle or use a powder blower to apply them to your part. You can blow excess particles off even if your part is still magnetized. They come in different colors, so choose what will contrast best with your metal surface.

Wet-Location Cordless Portable Lights

Splashes and drips are no problem for these lights. They don’t need an outlet, so you can bring them wherever you’re working. With a swivel hook and a magnet, you can attach them where convenient and aim light on your task. IP rated, they’re sealed to keep water from working its way in and causing failure. Their light mimics natural daylight to give you a crisp, clear light that’s good for inspecting.
Style C and D have a magnet on the kickstand. You can attach them to a metal surface and adjust the angle of the light. Fold the hook into the back when you’re not using it. Style D can shine like a flashlight when you need to peer into narrow spaces.

Wet-Location Magnet-Mount Portable Lights

Pop these lights on magnetic surfaces to brighten wet spaces. Rated NEMA 6 and ETL listed, you can splash, spray, or dunk them in water, and they’ll keep working. Strong magnets on the back keep them from sliding down or shaking loose. You can also secure them with a chain (not included) from the eyebolt at the top.
Style A and D have a handle for carrying the lights to your worksite.
Lights with an outlet included can be connected together to avoid running separate extension cords. Link up to 10 lights on one circuit. For increased spacing between lights, you can add an extension cord between them.

Hazardous Location Cordless Freestanding Portable Floodlights
Flood hazardous areas with light—these lights are intrinsically safe, meaning they can’t cause an explosion or fire. Rated NEC Class I, II, III, and Zone 0, they’re safe to use in areas with ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, dust, and fibers. They’re often used in refineries, mines, and paint booths. Pivot their head up and down to direct light where you need it most. These lights are rechargeable, compact, and include a carrying case for easy transport to jobsites without power.
They’re durable enough to fall from 6 ft. and still work. The edges of the metal body are cushioned with rubber, and the lens is impact-resistant polycarbonate. Rated IP67, they are sealed against dust and water. You can drop them in water, and they’ll keep working. These lights are tested against ANSI/PLATO FL 1 standards to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, impact resistance, and battery life.
Mount them using the extendable swivel hook on the back or the magnet in the base. The hook also functions as a carrying handle. Add a tripod if there’s nowhere to mount the light and you need to position it higher than on the ground.
