Architectural 6063 Aluminum Hat Channels

- Yield Strength: 16,000 psi
- Hardness: Brinell 55 (Soft)
- Temper: T5
- Fabrication: Extruded
- Specifications Met: ASTM B221
In addition to being more corrosion resistant and easier to form than multipurpose 6061 aluminum, these hat channels have flanges that make them easy to mount on flat surfaces. Often used to create space inside walls, ceilings, and masonry to prevent dampness or make room for insulation, they can also be used to level or resurface walls and ceilings. You can even use these channels on outer curtain walls on buildings.

Steel Hat Channel

In addition to creating space inside walls or ceilings—to prevent dampness or make room for insulation—these channels can also be used to level or resurface them. Their hat-like shape and flanges make them easy to mount on surfaces. Made of galvanized steel, all resist corrosion in damp environments.
