About Process Pumps

About Drum Pumps

Pump fuel and flammable liquids, such as isopropyl alcohol and xylene. These pumps have an explosion-proof motor that is rated for environments where hazardous material is present. Maximum temperature is 250° F or the boiling point of the liquid being pumped, whichever is lower. The motor is totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) for use in dusty, dirty, and damp environments. Pumps are gravity fed and require an elevated liquid source. Do not run dry or use with solids.

Note: If flow control is needed, place valves or reducers on the discharge side; never restrict the inlet of a pump with a valve or reducer.

316 Stainless Steel Air-Powered Transfer Pumps
for Chemicals, Fuel, and Flammable Liquids

With a 316 stainless steel housing and a PTFE diaphragm, these pumps resist a variety of acids, alkalies, and flammable liquids such as phosphoric acid, acetone, and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). They're designed for moving large volumes of thick sludges and slurries in demanding environments. Pumps are self-priming, which means they create a suction force to draw liquid upward to fill the pump chamber. All are submersible and can run dry.

Fluid-side maintenance kits include diaphragms, check valve balls, and seals.

Air-motor maintenance kits include seals, O-rings, gaskets, retaining rings, and an air valve spool.

Constant-Flow-Rate Pumps without Motor for Chemicals

With a 316 stainless steel housing and stainless steel gears, these pumps are often used to dispense chemicals such as ethylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, and nitric acid. Extended-Life High-Accuracy Metering Pumps for Chemicals

A 316 stainless steel housing provides corrosion resistance for a long life in harsh environments. These pumps meter a consistent amount of liquid within ±2% of the maximum flow. Often used to pump water-treatment chemicals, they have an adjustment dial that alters flow rate in 2% increments of the maximum flow. Pumps are self-priming and create suction to draw liquid upward.
