    Vibrating Feeders

    No need to worry about finding a compatible trough for your vibrator—these feeders come ready to use. With no mechanical parts to wear out or lubricate, downtime is rare. These feeders use electromagnets to shake material down the trough, making them ideal for moving substances that could cake or stick. For example, they’re often used to transfer powders into mixing tanks and add binders to foundry sand for metal casting. Compared to most vibrators, these feeders are quiet, too. At around 50 dBA, they generate about the same amount of noise as normal conversation.
    Steel Trough—More durable than 304 stainless steel troughs to handle abrasive materials without denting. They are best for moving dry substances, however, since moisture will cause them to rust.
    304 Stainless Steel Trough—Resist corrosion better than steel troughs to transfer chemicals and damp material.
    Required Vibrator Controllers—Adjust throughput from a steady stream to a trickle. If you want to synchronize multiple feeders to run at the same speed, you can connect them to the same controller as long as the total current draw is less than 5 amps. With a durable polycarbonate housing, these controllers won’t dent or crack from occasional bumps. They’re also rated NEMA 4X for protection from dust, dirt, and washdowns.

Bin wall thickness determines the force required to move the material in the bin. To select a vibrator strong enough for your application, find your bin's wall thickness in the table.
