    Current Detectors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Current Detectors.
Check for the presence of AC current and voltage without making direct contact with a wire. The detector has light and sound alerts that indicate current when it is held near the electrical component.

    High-Voltage Detectors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Voltage Detectors. High-Voltage Detectors.
Safely check for the presence of voltage in high-voltage equipment and lines. This noncontact detector checks for voltage by sensing electrostatic fields when brought near the electrical component. Light and sound alerts indicate voltage.
Hot Stick (48" Long)—For testing 1,500-122,000V AC, a hot stick is required (not included). It attaches to the high-voltage detector to extend your reach and detect voltage from a distance.

Clip these detectors to your hard hat to identify voltage and current from 360°. Without making physical contact, they flash light in the direction of the electrical threat and beep louder as you get closer to it. These lightweight detectors are comfortable to wear all day. They’re often used to identify live conductors, energized lines underground, and residual voltage.
Set the sensitivity level to determine when the detector alerts you. While the battery life varies depending on the number of alerts, a full charge can last up to five days. Recharge the battery with the included USB charging cable or a standard USB 2.0 Micro-B charger.
120V AC to 500 kV AC—120V AC-500kV AC detectors sense voltages as low as those in a power socket and as high as those in high-power transmission lines. Since they detect a wide range of voltages, they’re a helpful tool for rescue workers, electricians, and telecom workers. They can also connect to an app to notify emergency response services when there is a fall, injury, or no movement detected. The app is optional, and it requires a paid subscription. This safety feature makes these detectors a great option for those working alone.
2.4 kV AC to 500 kV AC—2.4kV AC to 500kV AC detectors identify a wide range of voltages found in high-power transmission lines, so they’re often used by linemen. However, they won’t detect the low voltage ranges found in telecom lines or small machinery.
