Spiral-Vent Pull-Out Dowel Pins

A spiral groove cut into these pins relieves trapped air but stays in 360° contact with the hole for a secure fit that's easy to insert in and remove from blind holes. One end is tapped and the other is chamfered for easy insertion. To remove, thread a screw or tool into the tapped hole, then pull them out. Use them as pivots, hinges, shafts, jigs, and fixtures to locate or hold parts. Pins are precision ground for accurate alignment. Breaking strength is measured as double shear, which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.
Pins that meet ASME B18.8.2 specifications conform to ASME standards for material and dimensions.
Steel pins have good strength.

Use with internally threaded dowel pins. A complete tool requires a puller handle and a tip that fits your pin. You’ll also need a socket head cap screw that can thread into the pin. To use, thread a tip into the puller handle and fit the other end of the tip over the screw. Slide the weight along the handle to push or pull.
