Make cuts in most rigid plastic tubing. Rollers have a groove for clearance to cut flared tube ends with little material loss. An enclosed adjustment screw prevents damage from chips and debris.

Squeeze the handles to cut plastic pipe and tubing and rubber hose.
Spring-action cutters have jaws that open automatically when you release the handles.
Steel blades have a slippery PTFE coating that helps the blade pass smoothly through materials while you cut. Cutters with steel blades are best for rubber and soft plastic, since hard plastic can scrape the coating and dull the edge.
Stainless steel blades hold their edge longer and stay sharper than steel blades when cutting hard materials, such as PVC. However, they don’t have a PTFE coating, so you’ll feel more resistance while you cut.
