Low-Pressure Clamp-On Connectors for Chemical Waste
- For Use With: Acetone, Alcohol, Ammonia, Bleach, Calcium Chloride, Chlorine, Citric Acid, Fluoboric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Salt Water, Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Sulfuric Acid (30%), Water
- Temperature Range: 0° to 180° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM C1173
- For Pipe Material: See table
With an FEP sleeve and PTFE sealing tape, these connectors withstand chemicals better than rubber connectors. Use them for joining low-pressure chemical waste drainpipe and fittings or transitioning between different chemical piping. The connectors are 316 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. They stand up to wet environments, just like 304 stainless steel, but unlike 304 stainless steel, they will not corrode from salt water, chlorine solutions, and chemicals.
To install, chamfer and deburr both ends of the pipe you need to join. Mark each pipe adjacent to the connector bands and apply 10 layers of the PTFE tape directly over each line. Doing this creates a seal between the sleeve and the pipe for extra leak protection. Then, center the FEP sleeve over the tape and use a heat gun to shrink the sleeve onto the pipe. Next, center the connector and tighten the clamps to 60 inch-lbs. to form a tight seal. Finally, test for leaks.

Compression Fittings for Plastic Tubing—Chemicals
- For Use With: PFA Plastic: Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid
PTFE Plastic: Alcohol, Ammonia, Benzoic Acid, Bleach, Bromine, Coolant, Fluoboric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Nitric Acid, Organic Solvents, Sodium Carbonate, Sulfuric Acid - Temperature Range: PFA Plastic: 0° to 350° F
PTFE Plastic: -40° to 185° F - Tubing: PFA Plastic: Use with hard (Durometer 50D-65D) PFA or PTFE plastic
PTFE Plastic: Use with hard (Durometer 60D) PFA or PTFE plastic
A sleeve (ferrule) compresses the tubing as you tighten the nut, creating a strong seal. The nut and sleeve are included. Fittings are also known as flareless fittings. Fittings that include a gripper sleeve on the tubing create an even tighter seal.
PTFE fittings are highly resistant to most acids, alcohols, detergents, and solvents. They’re made by machining. Their nut is made of PVDF, which is resistant to halogens such as chlorine and bromine, strong acids such as hydrofluoric and nitric acids, and organic solvents.

Quick-Disconnect Couplings for Plastic and Rubber Tubing—Chemicals
- For Use With: Ammonia, Ethanol, Phosphoric Acid (70%), Sodium Carbonate
- Temperature Range: 32° to 160° F
Couplings consist of a plug and a socket (sold separately) that join with a latch, so you can frequently connect and disconnect your line. To connect, insert the plug into the socket; to disconnect, press the latch on the socket and remove the plug. Plugs and sockets are polypropylene, which has excellent chemical, impact, and abrasion resistance.
Plugs and sockets with shut-off have a valve to stop the flow when the coupling is separated so fluid won’t spill from your line.
Note: For a complete coupling, order a plug and a socket with the same coupling size.

Pipeline Fluid Blockers
Also known as pipe blinds, these fluid blockers fit between two flanges to stop flow, so you can work downstream without draining the system.
Paddle blinds slip between the flanges to temporarily block flow.
304 stainless steel blinds resist corrosion better than steel blinds.
