Wear-Resistant Easy-to-Machine Delrin® Acetal Resin Sheets, Bars, and Strips

These sheets, bars, and strips resist expanding when exposed to heat and moisture, so they can be easily machined to close tolerances. They also have a naturally slippery, wear-resistant surface. Use them to make precision gears, bushings, and bearings. Delrin® acetal resin, also known as acetal homopolymer, is stronger and stiffer than acetal copolymer.
White sheets, bars, and strips are FDA compliant for contact with food.

Multipurpose Flame-Retardant Garolite G-10/FR4 Sheets and Bars

A good all-around choice, these Garolite G-10/FR4 sheets and bars are strong, machinable, and electrically insulating. They're made of a flame-retardant epoxy resin with fiberglass fabric reinforcement. Garolite G-10/FR4 is also called epoxy-grade industrial laminate and phenolic.
Wear-resistant sheets are coated to stand up to rubbing and scraping better than uncoated sheets.
If you don't see the size you're looking for, please specify a length under additional bar lengths.

Widely known as fishpaper and vulcanized fiber, these thin sheets offer better electrical insulation than standard hard fiber sheets. They are constructed from lightweight cotton fabric that's been chemically treated to make it hard and dense.

Composite Fabrics

Use these resin-free fabrics to reinforce or repair existing composites as well as create new composites. Mold custom-shaped composite parts by layering your choice of fabric with an epoxy. The epoxy (sold separately) is a two-part resin that begins to harden in 15 hours and reaches full strength in 4 days. Finished composite pieces withstand temperatures up to 250° or 350° F.
Fabrics with a plain, twill, or triaxial weave have fibers that are woven in alternating directions for uniform strength and rigidity in all directions. Easier to machine than fabrics with a unidirectional weave, their woven pattern holds the fibers together to limit splintering. Twill-weave fabrics are stronger than plain-weave fabrics. They’re also more flexible, making them easier to manipulate into complex shapes. They will not, however, retain their shape as well as plain-weave fabrics.
Carbon-fiber fabrics have the highest strength of all our composite fabrics.
Color-Coded Shim Stock

This shim stock is color-coded by thickness for easy identification. Cut it into custom shapes to fit your application. Shim stock is corrosion resistant. Sheets come flat packed.
Plastic shim stock works well in light duty applications. It's easier to cut than aluminum stock.
