Air-Powered Screwdrivers


Connect these tools to your shop air to install and remove fasteners.
Screwdrivers with positive clutch drive are the best choice for fastening applications where torque control is not critical. These tools require the operator to pull the trigger and apply pressure to the screw before the bit will turn. The clutch slips as soon as pressure is lifted or the maximum torque of the tool is reached.
Screwdrivers with direct drive start turning the bit as soon as the operator pulls the trigger. These tools provide a high level of control over fastening but do not have any built-in mechanism for preventing overtightening or limiting torque. Since pressure is not required for the screwdriver to turn the bit, they're good for fastening through compressible materials.
Note: Air tools require lubrication to operate properly.

Air-Powered Tap Wrenches

Powered by compressed air, these tap wrenches thread holes faster and with less effort than manual tap wrenches. They’re often used in place of manual tap wrenches when threading many holes and hard materials. Compared to drill presses and CNC machines, which are stationary, these wrenches are portable so you can take them to the part that needs to be threaded. To remove chips from your hole, press the reverse button to rotate the tap counterclockwise. Switch different taps in and out of the chuck when your tap is worn down or you need a new size. Use with machine tool taps and tapping lubricants for best results.
