Clear Static-Dissipative Moisture-Resistant Polyester Film

- Color: Clear
- Max. Temperature: 150° F
- Tensile Strength: 25,000 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Not rated
- For Use Outdoors: No
A static-dissipative coating on this polyester film prevents electrostatic discharge from damaging sensitive electronic equipment. It is also known as PET and PETE.

High-Temperature Moisture-Resistant Polyester Film

Often used as a separator when heating parts in an oven, this wear-resistant film can also protect surfaces when etching or sanding. Also called PET and PETE, polyester resists swelling when exposed to moisture. When used as a separator, film should be cut larger than the piece it is being released from.
Film with a coarse texture masks scuffs, scratches, and fingerprints.
Film with a smooth texture releases cleanly from rubber and most synthetic resins. This film is skived, so the edges may curl.

Metalized Moisture-Resistant Polyester Film

- Color: See table
- Temperature Range: -50° to 300° F
- Tensile Strength: 28,000 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Not Rated (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
An aluminum coating on one side of this film reflects heat, so it’s widely used as an insulator and in packaging applications. Made of polyester, which is also called PET and PETE, this wear-resistant film is comparable to Mylar.

Moisture-Resistant Polyester Sheets

- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -40° to 230° F
- Tensile Strength: 11,600 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 0.65 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell M95 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
- Specifications Met: ASTM D6261, FDA Compliant 21 CFR 177.1630
Strong and stiff, these polyester sheets won’t swell in moist environments, so they’re often made into pump components, valves, and spacers. They are easy to machine and wear resistant. This material is also called PET and PETE.
