About Sound Levels
Measured in decibels (dB), volume ratings indicate how much noise equipment makes. Some common volume levels include a whisper @ 20 dB, a refrigerator @ 40 dB, a conversation @ 60 dB, and a light machine shop @ 90 dB. OSHA recommends hearing protection for exposure to 80 dB and greater.
Air-Powered Portable Blowers

Use your compressed air source to power these blowers. They are powerful enough for use with flexible duct, yet light enough to carry from job to job. Use them for equipment cooling, material conveying, drying, ventilating, and exhausting.
Note: Airflow is based on an air supply of 80 psi.

Smoke Removal Blowers
Quickly ventilate smoke, gas, and other fumes by forcing fresh air into your space instead of exhausting air out. These fans improve air quality and manage temperature and moisture levels.
Gas-powered blowers generate higher airflow than battery-powered blowers. They cannot be sold to Canada due to import regulations.
Blowers with an aluminum housing are easy to roll and lift. Blowers with a plastic housing have good corrosion resistance.

Harnesses for Powered Air-Purifying Respirators

Make it easier to move and more comfortable to wear your respirator. These harnesses keep the respirator secure, so you can kneel, stand, or sit without it shifting much. Since they spread the weight of the respirator system across your shoulders and hips, the load on your back is reduced. They are especially beneficial when you need to wear your respirator for long shifts.

Blowers for Powered Air-Purifying Respirators
Replace the blower when it’s worn or damaged to keep air flowing through your powered respirator. Blowers suck in air and push it through a filter or cartridge to deliver clean air. They’re battery powered for portability, with a gauge telling you how much battery life is left. To keep you safe, a low-battery alarm will go off when it’s time to recharge the battery. A low-flow alarm sounds when you need to change your filter or cartridge.
NEC rated blowers prevent sparks that could ignite flammable or combustible particles in the air. Use them when working in environments where flammable and explosive vapors, gases, and fabrics may be present.
Choose a filter or cartridge (sold separately) to remove harmful particles from the air. Cartridges also remove gases and vapors.
