Harsh cleaners and sanitizers won't corrode these stainless steel thumb screws. Fasten in areas that experience frequent washdowns, such as food and pharmaceutical plants. These screws have smooth sides and rounded edges to reduce the risk of bacteria growth. The head is slim and flat like a coin for extra leverage when twisting. Fasten with a sanitary sealing washer (sold separately) to keep contaminants out, lock fluids in, and eliminate space where bacteria can get caught.

Fluoroprene Fluoroelastomer Sealing Washers—These sanitary sealing washers withstand higher temperatures than EPDM, so you can sterilize them with steam. They also resist more chemicals, such as oil, solvents, and acids.
