ASME-Code Fast-Acting Pressure-Relief Valves for Air and Inert Gas


Valve With Test Lever	Valve With Test Ring

To protect against damage in air lines, air receivers, compressor tanks, and other air-powered equipment, these valves spring fully open at the set pressure and remain open until the system pressure is restored below the set pressure. All meet ASME Code Section VIII for use with air and inert gas pressure vessels. They have a vented relief port to exhaust discharge directly.

Nickel-Plated Brass Body—Valves with a nickel-plated brass body are more corrosion resistant than valves with a plain brass body.

Silicone Seal—Silicone seals provide better leak protection than brass seals.

Compact Pressure-Relief Valves

Due to their small size, these valves are often installed on tanks in low-clearance areas. They begin opening at the set pressure. Nylon valves fully open at about 10% over the set pressure and steel valves fully open at about 50% over the set pressure. Valves begin closing as pressure drops and fully close when the system pressure is restored below the set pressure. All have a vent outlet to exhaust discharge directly. Set pressure is not adjustable.

Adjustable Fast-Acting Pressure-Relief Valves for Air and Inert Gas

Change set pressure to suit your application—this valve includes four interchangeable color-coded springs with different set pressure ranges. Remove the adjustment screw to change springs; turn the screw to alter the set pressure within the range. Cleaned and bagged to meet CGA G-4.1 for oxygen service and other high-purity applications, these valves are built to withstand the extreme cold of liquid carbon dioxide, liquid nitrogen, and liquid oxygen. Pressure-Relief Valves with Push-to-Connect Fittings for Air

For a low-pressure seal around plastic and soft metal tubing, these valves have push-to-connect fittings. They allow inline flow from the inlet to the outlet during normal conditions and divert flow to the relief port in overpressure conditions. The relief port begins opening at the set pressure and fully opens at about 10% over the set pressure. Fast-Acting Temperature- and Pressure-Relief Valves for Hot Water

Also known as T & P valves, these open when water temperature reaches 210° F or at the set pressure. They are commonly used with water heaters and storage tanks. Adjustable Inline Pressure-Relief Valves for Chemicals

With a three-port design, these valves allow inline flow from the inlet to the outlet during normal conditions and divert flow through the relief port in overpressure conditions. Often used with feed pumps for fertilizers and bleach, they have a PVC body and a PTFE seal for excellent chemical resistance. The relief port begins opening at the set pressure and fully opens at about 10% over the set pressure. It begins closing as pressure drops and fully closes when the system pressure is restored below the set pressure, resuming inline flow from the inlet to the outlet. Adjust the set pressure within the range.

Large-Diameter Remote-Discharge Fast-Acting Pressure-Relief Valves for Air and Inert Gas

Commonly used with high-volume blowers, compressors, and air-powered conveyors, these valves quickly relieve a large amount of air in systems with a pipe size of 2 or greater. They spring fully open at the set pressure and remain open until the system pressure is restored below the set pressure. Attach a drain line to the threaded relief port for remote discharge.
