Print up to 60% faster with better layer bonding than standard nozzles. These nozzles have a split core through the body that makes more contact with the filament to melt it quicker than nozzles with a single hole through the body. The tip is brass, which is the most common material used for nonabrasive filaments such as ABS, PLA, and nylon. Brass transfers heat quickly, so these nozzles produce clean prints and are unlikely to clog. However, brass is soft, so it will wear out quickly when used with abrasive materials. A nickel plating makes their surface slippery, creating less friction so filaments flow smoothly and help prevent plastic from sticking to the nozzle.

When choosing a nozzle, make sure the trade name is compatible with your printer and heating end. You should also consider the nozzle’s opening diameter, which affects precision and speed. The smaller the nozzle opening, the smoother the finish and the finer the detail, making these nozzles best for small and intricate parts. The larger the nozzle opening, the faster they print and less likely they are to clog, which is good for abrasive materials and large, strong parts. The most common opening to balance precision and speed is 0.4 mm.
