    Resin 3D Printers

Print parts with more precision and minute detail than filament printers. These printers harden photosensitive resin into specific shapes by shining light through a high-resolution LCD screen. Unlike filament printers that can only move as fast as their head, resin printers cure the entire printing surface layer by layer. This makes them a great choice for printing multiple parts without adding time to your build. Since the layer heights are so small, your parts will come out smooth and exact, even around the edges and curves.
After printing, remove the excess resin off your parts with nitrile gloves and scraping tools or with an automated parts washer. Then place them in an ultraviolet curing chamber.

Printer with Parts Washer and Curing

    Chamber

Formlabs printers make parts faster and with better bonds between layers than other printers, including Phrozen printers. As they print, the layers lift off smoothly and quickly, without getting stuck and shifting around. That’s thanks to the textured light source and flexible resin tank base.
A great choice for beginners, these printers have a step-by-step guide on the control panel.
Use these printers with Formlabs resins.
The built-in camera and sensors mean you can monitor prints from your PC.
Quick-Release Build Platform, Parts Washer, Curing Chamber, and 1-Year Professional Service Plan—Printers with a parts washer, curing chamber, and service plan give you everything you need to create a finished part. After printing, remove the build platform and slot it into the parts washer to remove excess resin. Then separate your parts and cure them in the chamber. The service plan gives you access to training, technical support, quick shipments of replacement components, and more.
Finish Kit—To clean excess resin off your parts and remove them from the build platform, you can use the included finish kit.
Software—The free software will automatically suggest positions for your model that minimize the number of supports it will need, saving resin and ensuring easy removal.

Because these resins balance strength and impact resistance, they're good for printing parts for general purpose applications. They'll work for everything from jigs and fixtures to lightweight housings for aerospace applications. Print them on a digital light processing (DLP), stereolithography (SLA), or LCD 3D printer.
Maximum exposure temperature is the point at which a printed part will begin to deform. Above this temperature, your part will start to lose structural integrity.
Resins with a color base and pigments can produce parts in up to 16 solid colors with a matte finish—no dying, painting, or finishing required. Mix the pigments together or add them on their own to the color base cartridge. Each color you create requires the color base, so you’ll have to replace it more than the pigments.
Formlabs Resins—Cartridge—Pop Formlabs resin cartridges right into the cartridge compartment on Formlabs printers, and they’ll automatically fill the resin tank. That means you won’t lose any resin while transferring them to the tank. To use them with other printers, they have a removable cap to pour out the contents of the cartridge.
Formlabs Resins—Jug—When using Formlabs resin jugs with a Formlabs printer, save time and effort by pumping the resin directly into the resin tank with a resin pump.

    Automated 3D-Printed-Parts Washers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Parts Washers. Automated 3D-Printed-Parts Washers.
Remove sticky excess resin from 3D-printed parts hands-free. Just fill these washers with isopropyl alcohol or another solvent and choose your resin’s wash time. In minutes, your parts will be clean. No need for time-consuming hand washing—an impeller automatically churns the solvent to get resin out of shallow holes and internal channels on your parts. Once washing is done, air- or fan-dry before curing.
If your parts were printed with a Formlabs printer, you don’t have to remove your parts from the build platform. Slot the full platform into these washers, and you’re ready to go. To prevent your parts from warping, they’ll automatically lift the platform out of the solvent once washing stops.

Stretchy, soft, and sturdy, these resins make durable parts that resist breaking from repeated use. They’re often used to create long-lasting parts, such as seals, sleeves, and gaskets. These resins are also good for making springs, snap-fit parts, and other components that handle high impact. Print them on a digital light processing (DLP), stereolithography (SLA), or LCD 3D printer.

Bumps, scrapes, and falls won’t damage parts made from these tough resins because they absorb impact without cracking or breaking. Ultraviolet Curing Chambers

Safely cure light-activated adhesives, coatings, and ink or strengthen 3D-printed resin parts with UV light in these enclosed chambers. Also known as flood curing, they evenly cure your parts. They work just like a microwave. Plug them in, set your time, and they’re ready to cure.
Formlabs Ultraviolet and LED Chambers with Turntable
Image of Product. Front orientation. Ultraviolet Curing Chambers. Formlabs Ultraviolet and LED Chambers with Turntable.
Formlabs chambers can be preheated to save you curing time. While they’ll work on any resin 3D-printed parts, if you use them with parts made of Formlabs resins, you can choose preset cure times and temperature settings for consistent results.
Chambers with a turntable rotate parts under the lights for even exposure while curing. Because these chambers use low-intensity LED bulbs and only operate when the door is closed, additional UV-protective glasses or clothing while using them are not required.

Parts made from these resins remain strong and rigid in temperatures that would soften most plastic, so they're often used near ovens, engines, and other hot machinery. They're a good lightweight alternative to machined metal parts. Print them on a digital light processing (DLP), stereolithography (SLA), or LCD 3D printer.

Create holders, guards, housings, and other parts to protect flammable components. These resins are self-extinguishing and meet UL 94 V-0 for flame resistance. If they do begin to smoke, they won't release toxins into the air because they're halogen free. They also meet ASTM E595, a standard used by NASA, which means they give off almost no volatile emissions that could damage electronics, even in a vacuum.
Print them on a digital light processing (DLP), stereolithography (SLA), or LCD 3D printer.
