3M Scotch-Brite Nylon Mesh Cushioned Sanding Pads
The thick, abrasive-embedded nylon mesh construction flexes to compensate for uneven pressure as you sand, producing a consistent finish. These pads can be cut to size for use with portable sanders.
Aluminum oxide is the most common abrasive for general purpose sanding, such as material removal and finishing on metals and wood.

3M Scotch-Brite Nylon Mesh Cushioned Sanding Rolls
When you need to achieve a more consistent finish, choose nylon mesh sanding rolls over paper- or cloth-backed rolls. The mesh flexes to compensate for uneven pressure as you sand. It's embedded with aluminum oxide, the most common abrasive, which is hard enough to sand steel and wood. These rolls can be cut to length.

3M Scotch-Brite Nylon Mesh Cushioned Hook and Loop Sanding Pads
For a consistent finish, these pads are made with nylon mesh that flexes to compensate for uneven pressure as you sand. They are embedded with aluminum oxide abrasive, the most common abrasive, so they’re often used for cleaning, scuffing, finishing, and light paint removal. The hook and loop backing lets you attach, remove, and reuse these pads until they’re used up.
Cut them to size and use them with a compatible sanding block (sold separately). Hard-density blocks work best on flat surfaces. Use soft-density blocks on contoured surfaces.
