    Quick-Connect Clamp-On Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Quick-Connect Clamp-On Butt Splices.
Flip a clamp onto your wire instead of crimping to speed up installations and reuse your splice later. Choose these splices for setups that change often, such as prototypes and testing. They even have test sockets to safely test voltage after installation.

    Crimp-On Butt Splices

Extend a run or repair damaged wire instead of installing a new line. Squeeze the wire splice with a crimping tool for a secure end-to-end connection.
Vinyl Plastic Insulation—Our basic insulation covers the wire to prevent short circuits. It won’t break down from dirt, grime, and occasional twists and tugs.
Nylon Insulation—In addition to preventing short circuits, this wear-resistant insulation protects wire from vibration and rubbing against nearby edges.
Double Crimp—The choice for wire that’s frequently pulled, bent, or vibrated. Crimp the splice twice on each end for an extra-strong grip on the wire.

    Inline Entry

These tap/connectors join larger wire sizes, such as power and control cable in distribution panels. Insert your main wire into a port, then insert tap wires into the other ports and tighten the set screws. The wires lock in place for a consistent and durable connection.
Single-Sided Entry—Insert all your wires from the same side. The slim profile fits better in crowded panels and boxes than dual-sided entry tap/connectors.
Dual-Sided Entry—Stagger multiple wires running from opposite directions—especially rigid wire that won't bend around the connector. For a safe flow of current, attach only one wire per port. Wires connected on both sides may overload the port, causing the connector to overheat and fail.
Inline Entry—Connect wires from opposite directions to create a straight run. Similar to butt splices.
Aluminum and Copper (For Joining Dissimilar Metals)—Aluminum and copper don't play well together, but these connectors keep them in line. They cover the wires with an antioxidant compound so the aluminum wire—and the whole connection—won't oxidize and corrode.

Twist onto the wire instead of crimping for fast and easy installation.
Easy-Grip Wing—The wings fit snugly between your thumb and forefinger for better leverage, less strain, and a tighter connection.
Easy-Grip Wing with Rubber Insulation Extension—Squeeze past obstacles and narrow openings where other easy-grip wing connectors won't fit.
Comfort Easy-Grip Wing—With soft molding on the wings, these are the most comfortable twist-on connectors we offer. They'll keep your wrist and fingers fresh when you install lots of connectors. The ergonomic wings fit snugly between your thumb and forefinger for better leverage, less strain, and a tighter connection than straight-grip connectors.
Comfort Easy-Grip Wing with Rubber Insulation Extension—Squeeze past obstacles and narrow openings where other comfort easy-grip wing connectors won't fit.
Low-Profile Easy-Grip Wing—Our slimmest twist-on connector is the best fit for crowded outlet boxes and other cluttered areas.
Aluminum and Copper (For Joining Dissimilar Metals)—Aluminum and copper don't play well together, but these connectors keep them in line. They cover the wires with an antioxidant compound so the aluminum wire—and the whole connection—won't oxidize and corrode.

    Covers

Flip a clamp onto your wire instead of crimping to speed up installations, then reuse these connectors later. The clamp secures and disconnects wires without damaging them. Choose these connectors for setups that change often, such as prototypes and testing. They even have test sockets to safely test voltage after installation.
DIN Rail Mounting Adapters—Clip connectors onto DIN 3 rail to keep them organized and easily accessible.
Covers—Seal out moisture to protect your connection. Covers are lined with a sticky gel, so you don't need to mix or pour a potting compound yourself. They’re rated IP08 to withstand splashes, rain, and humidity. To repair or expand your circuit, open the cover and remove the wires so you can reuse them. However, you'll need to replace the splice and cover after you open the cover and remove the gel.

    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Butt Splices

Our strongest-gripping butt splices secure wire through heavy vibration and sharp tugs.
Solder and Crimp-On Connection—The tightest hold you can get. First, squeeze the splice firmly and evenly onto the wire with a crimping tool. Next, melt the heat-shrink insulation and enclosed solder to add even more stiffness and strength.
Polyolefin Insulation—The durable plastic maintains a tight grip on the wire so it stays put when pulled or vibrated.

    Set Screw Butt Splices

These splices connect thicker wires than crimp-on butt splices—up to 1000 MCM. Tighten the set screw onto the wire instead of crushing the body, like you do with compression butt splices. That makes these splices reusable and easier to install.
PVC Cover—Completely cover the splice to protect wires from short circuits. The tip can be trimmed to fit your wire size. Cable ties cinch the cover onto the wire.

Unlike other twist-on connectors, a silicone filler repels moisture to keep your wire dry and conductive. These connectors twist on and off your wire to save time over crimp-on connectors. You can bury them in soil to power everything from irrigation systems to landscape lights. The connectors have a lower maximum voltage when buried.
Low-Profile Easy-Grip Wing—Our slimmest twist-on connector is the best fit for crowded outlet boxes and other cluttered areas.

Install and service setups for two, three, and five wires, then reuse these connectors later. They pop on and off wire with the flip of a clamp to save time over crimping. Choose them for setups that change often, such as prototypes and testing. They even have test sockets to safely test voltage after installation. The assortments include DIN-rail adapters so you can snap connectors into a control panel.

Keep multiple sizes of our tightest-gripping butt splices on hand. After crimping your splice, apply a heat gun to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits.
Polyolefin Insulation—The durable plastic maintains a tight grip on the wire so it stays put when pulled or vibrated.

    Crimp-On Wire Connectors

A step up in grip strength and conductivity from standard wire connectors. Twist your wires together and crimp them so they hold securely when tugged or jostled. For rain and splashes, choose heat-shrink crimp-on wire connectors instead. For wires on or around vibrating equipment, consider tight-hold heat-shrink connectors.

    Heat-Shrink Crimp-On Butt Splices

A step up in grip strength and strain relief over standard butt splices. After crimping your splice, apply a heat gun to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits.
Nylon Insulation—In addition to preventing short circuits, this wear-resistant insulation protects wire from vibration and rubbing against nearby edges.
Polyolefin Insulation—A durable, economical choice when you don't need the extra wear resistance of nylon.
With Window—Troubleshoot bad connections without removing your splice. The splice has a cutout where the wires meet, so you can confirm at a glance that they're crimped evenly and haven't loosened.

One splice does the job of two—connect a single wire with two others of the same size to streamline your run. After crimping the splice, apply a heat gun to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits.
Polyolefin Insulation—The durable plastic maintains a tight grip on the wire so it stays put when pulled or vibrated.

    Compression Butt Splices

Squeeze these splices onto thicker wire than crimp-on butt splices—up to 4/0 AWG. Check the color coding and wire gauge on the splice to match it with the right compression tool.

Unlike other wire taps, a gel filler repels moisture to keep your connection dry and conductive. These taps bite through insulation to draw power from an installed main wire to a new tap wire. No need to cut or strip your wire—slide in the main and tap lines, then close the tap and squeeze it with a crimper for a secure connection.

An upgrade in strength and strain relief over standard reducing splices. After crimping your splice, apply a heat gun or butane torch to shrink the plastic and grip wire securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits. Also known as step-down splices, reducing splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself.

These connectors hold wire more securely than crimp-on connectors, so they're a better choice for high-vibration setups. They're also quicker to install and reusable because you don't crush them with a crimping tool. Tighten the set screw into the metal barrel inside the connector for a secure grip on the wire.

    Covers

These connectors are as quick to install as our clamp-on option, though they're not as easy to adjust. They extend or terminate electrical connections in branch circuits, such as light fixtures and electronic devices. Push wire into place without the need for an installation tool. To break the connection later, you'll have to pull wire back out. The connectors also have test sockets to safely test voltage after installation.
Style B—Join two or more connectors to create the exact setup you need. Slide the flanged side of one connector into the grooved side of another.

    Heat-Shrink Crimp-On Wire Connectors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Heat-Shrink Crimp-On Wire Connectors.
A step up in grip strength and strain relief over standard crimp-on wire connectors. First, twist your wires together and crimp them in the connector. Then, apply a heat gun to shrink the insulation and hold wires securely under tension and vibration. The heat shrink also protects wire from the drips, dirt, and scuffs that lead to fraying, poor conductivity, and short circuits.

    Watertight Insulation-Piercing Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Watertight Insulation-Piercing Butt Splices.
A gel filler seals out water to keep your wires completely dry and conductive. No need to strip your wire—insert insulated wires into the splice, then squeeze the button with a crimper or pliers until it clicks. The splice bites through the insulation, so you don't take extra time or risk nicks and cuts from a wire stripper. Snap splices together to create the exact setup you need.

    Quick-Connect Push-On Wire Connector Assortments

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Quick-Connect Push-On Wire Connector Assortments.
Install and service setups for two to eight wires. These assortments include DIN-rail adapters so you can snap connectors into a control panel. Quick-connect push-on connectors are as fast to install as our clamp-on option, though they're not as easy to adjust. Push wire into place without the need for an installation tool. To break the connection later, you'll have to pull wire back out. The connectors also have test sockets to safely test voltage after installation.

    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Reducing Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Reducing Butt Splices.
Our strongest-gripping reducing butt splices hold wire securely through heavy vibration and sharp tugs. Also known as step-down splices, reducing splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself.

Connect large wires of different sizes, as thick as 4/0 AWG. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself. Check the color coding, wire gauge, and compression die reference number on the splice to match it with the right compression tool.
With Window—Troubleshoot bad connections without removing your splice. The splice has a cutout where the wires meet, so you can confirm at a glance that they're crimped evenly and haven't loosened.

    Reducing Crimp-On Butt Splices

Connect two components with different wire sizes, such as a large air compressor and its control panel. Also known as step-down splices, these splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. Colored stripes differentiate the larger and smaller openings so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself. Attach your wire with a crimping tool to avoid a damaged splice and loose connection.
Vinyl Plastic Insulation—Our basic insulation covers the wire to prevent short circuits. It won’t break down from dirt, grime, and occasional twists and tugs.

    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Wire Connectors

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Wire Connectors.
Our tightest-holding connectors secure wire through heavy vibration and sharp tugs. Apply a heat gun or butane torch to shrink the insulation and firmly grip the wire. As the connector heats up, the enclosed solder melts around the wire for a stronger, more rigid connection than unsoldered wire.

    Moisture-Resistant Twist-On Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Exploded view. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Moisture-Resistant Twist-On Butt Splices.
Unlike other twist-on butt splices, sealed end caps block out moisture and keep your wire dry and conductive. Insert wires end to end and lock them in place with the twist of a cap. These splices resist vibration and pulling to keep a secure connection between wires. Use them to speed up field installations without the use of crimping tools.

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Underground Wire Tap/Connectors, Offset Entry.

    Single-Sided Entry

    Offset Entry

Plugged and sealed at every opening, these tap/connectors protect wire from groundwater and rocky soil. The trim-to-size port plugs create a tight seal where the wire enters. The other plugs have double O-rings to seal off gaps around the set screws.
Single-Sided Entry—Insert all your wires from the same side. The slim profile fits better in crowded panels and boxes than dual-sided entry tap/connectors.
Offset Entry—Attach wires running from opposite directions—especially rigid wire that won't bend around the connector. The connection points are staggered so that current flows freely instead of concentrating in one spot and causing a fault.
Aluminum and Copper (For Joining Dissimilar Metals)—Aluminum and copper don't play well together, but these connectors keep them in line. They cover the wires with an antioxidant compound so the aluminum wire—and the whole connection—won't oxidize and corrode.

Lay the main wire into your tap on the first try instead of poking and threading. The tap wire connects parallel to the tap or at 90°, so the tap will slide into your setup at different angles. Strip both wires and slide off the screw plate before installation. Tighten the set screws onto both wires for a secure connection.
Covers—These covers fully insulate the tap so moisture can't reach the wire. They snap shut so you don't have to tape them down.

Cut and restore your tapped connection without rewiring. Instead of connecting to a bare tap line, these taps lock onto wires with quick-disconnect terminals on the end. First, insert your main line into the tap (no need to strip the wire first). Next, squeeze the tap with a crimper so it bites through the insulation for a secure connection. Crimp a quick-disconnect terminal (sold separately) onto your tap wire, then pop it in and out of the tap as often as you need.

    Watertight Reducing Insulation-Piercing Butt Splices

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Watertight Reducing Insulation-Piercing Butt Splices.
Connect two components with different wire sizes, such as an air compressor and its control panel. Also known as step-down splices, these splices join a larger wire and a smaller wire end to end. The larger and smaller openings are color coded so you don't have to measure and mark them yourself. You can snap splices together to create the exact setup you need.
A gel filler seals out water to keep your wires completely dry and conductive. No need to strip your wire—insert insulated wires into the splice, then squeeze the button with a crimper or pair of pliers until it clicks. The splice bites through the insulation, so you don't take extra time or risk nicks and cuts from a wire stripper.

Image of Product. Front orientation. Wire Splices, Connectors, and Taps. Underground Twist-On Wire Connectors.
A go-to for underground feeder lines, these connectors stand up to pressure and wear when buried in the polypropylene cover. Strip your wires and slide them side by side into the opening. To connect, twist the easy-grip wing for a tight grip on the wire without straining your arm.

Break and restore your tapped connection without rewiring. Instead of connecting to a bare tap line, these taps lock onto wires with snap-plug terminals on the end. First, insert your main line into the tap (no need to strip the wire first). Next, squeeze the tap with a crimper so it bites through the insulation for a secure connection. Crimp a snap plug (sold separately) onto your tap wire, then pop it in and out of the tap as often as you need.
