For Steel, For Stainless Steel, For Aluminum, For Brass, For Bronze, For Copper, For Iron, and For Nickel—Sets for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, iron, and nickel contain bits made from a range of abrasive materials in different shapes and sizes. They’ll help you achieve varying levels of finish on a wide range of materials. Cotton laminate/aluminum oxide blend bits remove more material than rubber-cushioned aluminum oxide bits, and they’ll create a nicer finish than vitrified ceramic alumina bits. Bits with nylon mesh remove the least material but create the nicest finish.

Long-Life Rubber-Cushioned Abrasive Grinding Bits for Metals

A diamond abrasive that's bonded to a rubber cushioning makes these bits last 10 to 20 times longer than rubber-cushioned bits without diamond. Because they’re cushioned during grinding, these bits produce a smoother surface texture than other bits with similar grits. Also known as mounted points and die grinder bits.
Head diameter is measured at the widest point.
Caution: As bit shank is exposed beyond 1/2", maximum safe rpm decreases significantly. Refer to ANSI standard B7.1. Use only accessories that have a greater rpm rating than the maximum speed of the grinder you choose.
