Marine-Grade 5083 Aluminum Sheets and Bars

- Yield Strength: 28,000 psi
- Hardness: Not Rated
- Temper: H116 (1/8 Hard)
- Fabrication: Cold Worked
- Specifications Met: ASTM B209, ASTM B928
Highly corrosion resistant, 5083 is largely used around salt water for building ships and oil rigs. It maintains its strength in extreme cold, so it's also used to make cryogenic pressure vessels and tanks.

Impact-Resistant Marine-Grade 5083 Aluminum Sheets

- Yield Strength: 37,000 psi
- Hardness: Not Rated
- Temper: H131
- Specifications Met: MIL-DTL-46027, SAE AMS4027
Also known as armor plate, these 5083 aluminum sheets are hardened to an H131 temper for increased strength and impact resistance over standard 5083 sheets. They meet MIL-DTL-46027 and are the grade of aluminum used for personnel carriers in military operations. 5083 is highly corrosion resistant and is especially suited for use around salt water. It also maintains its strength in extreme cold and can be used in cryogenic applications.

Easy-to-Machine Cast Aluminum for Tool and Jig Plates

- Yield Strength: 18,000 psi
- Hardness: Brinell 70 (Soft)
- Temper: O
- Fabrication: Cast
- Specifications Met: ASTM B209
Made of 5083 aluminum, these cast tool and jig plates are more corrosion resistant and respond better to anodizing than MIC6. This material is comparable to Alca 5 and ATP 5. Use for CNC routing tables, assembly jigs, vacuum chucks, and other applications where consistent flatness and tight tolerances are critical.
