Tight-Tolerance High-Strength 2024 Aluminum Sheets and Bars

- Yield Strength: 47,000 psi
- Hardness: Brinell 120 (Medium)
- Temper: T351
- Fabrication: Hot Rolled
- Specifications Met: ASTM B209, SAE AMS-QQ-A-250/4, SAE AMS4035
Also known as flat stock, these sheets and bars are precision ground on the top and bottom. The sides have a cut or milled edge. While 2024 aluminum was initially designed for structural components in aircraft, it's now widely used when a high strength-to-weight ratio is needed, such as for gears, shafts, and fasteners. It offers similar performance to 7075 aluminum, but it’s not as strong.
Certificates with a traceable lot number are available for these products. Download certificates from ORDER HISTORY after your order ships.
