Lathe tool styles BR and BL perform along the length turning, facing, boring, and chamfering. They are suitable for roughing cuts, interrupted cuts, and cuts where a square shoulder is not required. Lathe tool style C perform along the length turning, facing, chamfering, and external grooving. Lathe tool style D perform along the length turning, facing, boring, chamfering, external grooving, and undercutting. Lathe tool style E are for external threading.
